At Ipswich Trade Frames we have selected Residence 9 windows (R9) as it is designed to replicate 19th century timber designs authentically, suiting the majority of period properties from historic manors to Georgian and Victorian houses, Edwardian villas, right through to the present day.
9 chamber design
Residence 9 has 9 chambers and is100mm wide whereas other window frames are typically 3 or 5 chambers and are usually 70mm wide. The result is a top-performing window system which retains heat, reduce noise and strong, secure and stylishly in-keeping by design.
Real attention to heritage detail
Residence 9 windows are hand finished and undeniably authentic with the stunning flush appearance, redefining modern windows.
Handles, hinges and stays are all vital parts of the heritage equation. Choose from ‘dummy’ or working butt hinges in antique black or painted white and handles and peg stays in typical period ironmongery colours such as black or a pewter patina, or go for the R9 contemporay range to achieve a more modern-looking interior.
Georgian bar latticework looks perfectly in place, decoratively shaped internally and with a putty line chamfer on the exterior bars.

Residence 9 has a 9 chamber design and is engineered to meet current and anticipated future standards.
Other window frames are typically 3 or 5 chambers and are usually 70mm wide, but Residence 9 has 9 chambers and is 100mm wide, resulting in superior thermal, acoustic, strength and security performances.
